What To Expect On Your First Visit
Our Action Chiropractic team want you to feel welcome. We hope knowing what you can expect from your first (and second) visit at Action Chiropractic will alleviate stress or a sense of overwhelm you might feel if trying chiropractic for the first time. Below is a brief overview for our new chiropractic patients.Â
New Patient Paperwork
On arrival, you will be greeted and given your paperwork to fill out. It's important that you thoroughly complete the health history section, including any previous injuries or trauma. Please also bring your current insurance card, if you would like us to bill insurance for your care.Â
10-15 minutes
Health AssessmentÂ
After paperwork is complete, one of our friendly staff members will assess any areas of complaint that may be causing you pain, tightness, or impeding normal every day function. You will be asked to do a range of motion test, consisting of a series of simple movements, to help our team further identify areas of concern. Pain does not always present itself at the root cause so this step is important in helping Dr. Shaun determine the true source of your health problems.Â
15-20 minutes
Consultation & Spinal Evaluation
Dr. Shaun will meet with you for a one-on-one consultation to review your health history, current areas of concern, and health goals. He will then assess your spine's structural and functional health by checking for any spinal dysfunction. Motion and static palpation are used to check for proper spinal alignment and to determine areas of subluxation that may be causing or exacerbating health problems. Orthopedic tests may also be performed. Â

Chiropractic X-Rays
Based on your consultation and spinal evaluation with Dr. Shaun, x-rays of one to three spinal regions may be performed. X-rays take the guess work out of your chiropractic care and give Dr. Shaun a clear image of your spinal health. Our office conveniently offers on-site digital x-rays that are safe, professional, and cost-effective. Â

First Adjustment
Dr. Shaun will review your x-rays and take into account your health assessment to determine how best to proceed with your care. Your first specific chiropractic adjustment is, typically, then given the same day. We want to take care of you and your nervous system from day one!

Report of Findings
On your second visit to Action Chiropractic, after your adjustment, Dr. Shaun will go over in detail your x-rays and health assessment findings. You will review your specific health goals together. Dr. Shaun will give you an individualized plan and adjustment schedule to follow in order to meet your goals. Our friendly front office staff will then help you schedule your future adjustments.Â
